KALCHEV, K., Y. RABADJIEV, D. GANCHEV, M. TSENOVA, I. ILIEV and I. IVANOVA, 2013. Study of proteases and protease inhibitors from Streptomyces strains. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., Supplement 2, 19: 65–67 Proteases and protease inhibitors are important enzymes in Streptomyces physiology and differentiation. The objective of this paper was to investigate the optimal conditions for production of proteases and protease inhibitors secreted by three newly isolated Streptomyces strains. The optimal growth and inhibition activities were detected after cultivation on different media and the maximum of protease inhibition activities were specifi c for the examined strains. The extracellular proteins were purifi ed by ammonium sulfate precipitation and SDS-PAGE. One of the examined strains showed protease inhibitory activity perspective for future research.

Study on Activity and Stability of Proteases from Bacillus Sp. Produced by Submerged Fermentation
Objective: Investigations were carried out to isolate bacteria from saline-alkali soils and determined optimized alkaline protease activity and stability produced by a wild strain of bacillus sp. in submerged fermentation (SMF). Methods: Optimum temperature for enzyme activity in the crude extract was 40 ◦C at a pH between 8.0 and 9.0. The studies on pH stability showed that the enzyme...

Saline rhizospheric areas are untouched environments for isolating actinomycetes with the potential of valuable salt tolerant enzyme production. In this study, we isolated and evaluated a total number of of 26 actinomycete strains from plant rhizosphere of the periphery of Dasht-e-Kavir desert. Isolated actinomycetes produced different enzymes. Among them 50, 46, 39, 27, 10 and 7 % of the isola...
متن کاملThe Role of Caspase 9 during Programmed Cell Death in Ciliary Ganglia of Chick Embryos
During programmed cell death (PCD) apoptosis is controlled by many factors such as proteases. With no specific protease (s) known during PCD in the developing nervous system so far, we sought to determine if any specific protease (s) is involved in this process and therefore used different protease inhibitors during PCD (from embryonic day 6 to 10) in chick embryos. Among the inhibitors commerc...
متن کاملDesign of new potent HTLV-1 protease inhibitors: in silico study
HTLV-1 and HIV-1 are two major causes for severe T-cell leukemia disease and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). HTLV-1 protease, a member of aspartic acid protease family, plays important roles in maturation during virus replication cycle. The impairment of these proteases results in uninfectious HTLV-1virions.Similar to HIV-1protease deliberate mutations that confer drug resistance on...
